Veganism, as a lifestyle, is about doing what is good for one's body and one's environment. The basic principle is that one should not consume any animal-derived foods or products. Some vegans are strict vegetarians, and some are strict vegans. Some people might say that the more strict the vegan, the fewer vegan-friendly foods there are. And the more non-vegan foods, or products, one consumes, the more they risk becoming an omnivore again.
In my opinion, there are lots of vegan foods available. Just look at the vast choice of fruits and vegetables. Even if you are on a raw vegan diet, you can still eat lots of different things. You can make delicious juices and smoothies, raw soups and salads, and you can eat many different kinds of raw nuts and seeds.
As with most vegan diets, many vegans are trying to eliminate meat products, and in addition to meat products, other animal-derived foods, such as eggs, dairy products, fish and seafood, and honey. These are the most likely to be problematic for human health.
Most non-vegans don't know what a vegan diet consists of. But all vegans adhere to an extensive set of rules, regulations, and guidelines for their meals. I am a vegan, and in my opinion, it is easy to eat a colourful vegan diet and protect our animals. I find it so hard to understand how humans can abuse animals the way they have been doing it for a long time.
Some people think they will die if they can't eat meat! What about all those poor animals who had to suffer and lead inhumane lives?

While these products do not provide nutrients, they are approved by vegans for medicinal purposes. Being vegan is also a bit more complicated than saying, “I don’t eat dairy or meat products.” Vegans have many more restrictions, as well as not eating foods that aren’t necessarily animal-based. Although it's difficult to say for sure, some commercial brands may be concocting foods that do not have any animal-derived ingredients.
There is no way to tell for sure, so if the food sounds “unnatural,” “strange,” or “not natural,” then you may want to stay away from that particular product. I personally love the raw vegan diet, especially fruits. We make lemon juice, celery juice and all kinds of smoothies. I also enjoy salads with lots of different raw vegetables, like tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, celery and carrots. I add a lot of fresh herbs, like basil, chives, parsley, rosemary, sage and thyme all finely chopped. As a dressing, I use fresh lemon juice.
